Corqian moved swiftly about the orc defense, his two blades moving at blinding speed, connecting with the swinging spiked chain. He pushed forward trying to catch him off guard, the orc roared heavily at the elf. He was becoming irritated at his opponent, the orc was becoming reckless, throwing his attacks about everywhere, striking and cutting at the stone water front, creating sparks. Corqian’s eyes moved back to the fox in the tall grass of the meadow, the fox had landed another strike against the orc, though not dead he was badly injured. Unable to fight, the orc held his mace in defense hoping to make a last stand, the blood of his leg and shoulder bleeding out. However just before the battle seemed to be ending the last orc came out of the tree clearing and snarled at the tiny fox, reaching behind his back he produced a giant a giant orc double axe. He walked up to the side of his fallen ally and stood ready to fight the little fox. www.ixitxachitls.net/files/BaseItems/Orc%20Double%20Axe/WTC%2017524.png However Corqian had to turn back to his own fight, the orc chain spun wildly, and cutting down small elms branches. They fell between and around the two combatants, creating the distraction the orc swung his chain, wrapping around Corqian’s body the chain blade stuck into a close by tree, pinning where he stood. Between the tree and the orc the orc charged and jumped at Corqian. He had to think fast or he would die, spinning his feet about he tightened the chain then kicked it, ducking low to the ground Corqian brought his blade up and sliced a large cut across the orc's chest, stumbling and falling over Corqian. He now lay dead; Corqian's eyes went back to the boy, then the fox, now fighting a new foe.

That axe was a bit intimidating, Allen growled a bit and got ready to move to evade any incoming blows, axe was big and powerful, but must be slow. He looked at the orc's stance carefully, trying to be quick and tries to figure out when attack was going to come or any weak spots.
While doing so, he waited for an attack to start. He was not good for starting, preferred to react.

This is ridiculous, Ethan thought to himself. Here I am safe in the river while Allen and that other creature (who I think is an elf even though that is impossible) fight for their lives. I should try to help them but if I go against an orc I'll die. And quickly. He couldn't help but smirk at the last thought even though it wasn't in the least bit funny. Since fighting was out and he didn't feel proper wading in the water while a battle was going on around him, running was the next best thing. Ethan looked again over at the rock where his clothes and dagger were waiting for him to return. He could live without his clothes. It would be a little embarrassing returning to town without any clothes on but the light of day was quickly fading and by the time he reached town he would have the cover of darkness to hide him. But Ethan did want that dagger. It was one of the few things that reminded him of his father.
Waiting for a chance when the orcs looked like they were busy with Allen and the other creature/man/elf, Ethan jumped onto the bank of the river and dashed over to the rock. Without even losing speed he reached down and scooped up his dagger and while he was there he might as while try to get his clothes too. He managed to get his dagger and his shirt but lost his grip on his trousers. Blast! He had to stop and hide behind a tree as he had stepped on something hard probably a rock. His bare feet were not used to running around in the wild. Shoes! I should have grabbed my shoes! He looked on the battle from behind his tree and waited for the next time that he could grab his shoes.

the elf's swift feet cared him across the meadow of the river bed. quickly catching up to the fox, Corqian made his way up to his side and to his defense. Corqian readied himself for the next attach from the orc, his weapons posed ready to strike.
"I'll go right, you go left." Corqian said to the fox as they stood side by side.
the orc gave a low growl at the two standing before him, bring his one hand up he unlashed the cloak on his back and let it fall to the ground. tensing his muscles he flexed his arms as he grabbed his double sided axe the orc charged between the two, swinging and flaring back and forth. Corqian had quickly jumped to his right, dodging the first strike, but before he knew it the axe had spun about and struck at him again. bring his weapon about he blocked it, however he saw the orc was using his weapons double sides to keep both him and the fox at bay. twirling it about he was able to strike at both him and the fox. he lashed out at the fox back and forth with both sides of his weapon. growling and snarling he kicked at the little fox hoping to strike a blow.

Allen nodded at the man and moved to the left. Keeping his sword up in a defensive stance. He kept his eyes on the orc, watching carefully. Allen dodged the first attacks, and used his sword to block the last attack from the axe.
Allen then noticed an incoming kick that he didn't expect and didn't manage to dodge it, but he managed to stab the orc's leg with his sword, sword is now stuck there. Allen was blowed back a bit, but didn't fall, because he was using his tail to stay in balance. He tried to catch his breath quickly and get back in a more or less descent combat stance to be able to dodge any incomming attacks.

There would be no break in the battle as an orc suddenly had an axe and was swinging it around like a madman. Allen and the other person were leaping left and right trying to avoid it. To 'ell with the shoes! thought Ethan. I'm getting out of here. He turned toward Cair Paravell and ran as fast as his bare feet would carry him. Which wasn't as fast as he would like but slowly the sounds of the battle faded into the background. When he was sure he had left it behind he slowed down to a walk. He sighed to himself. He had lost his trousers and a pair of shoes. Probably forever. His master was not going to be pleased. "Blast!" he yelled at nothing in particular.
((He went home where his master was waiting for him and gave him a stern lecture))

Corqian came back around, spinning his blade back around his head and slashing about, his sword connecting with the axe. The orc was tough, most likely the leader, the scars and old age could be seen on his opponent’s face, a seasoned veteran. The fox and Corqian had been keeping his on his toes, moving back and forth they had prevented him from being able to strike. Corqian came in with a slash of his left, brining it in low while the orc deflected it with his axe Corqian’s other hand swung a hard slash, nipping the orcs shoulder, and cutting him. The orc roared and pressed the attached; Corqian kept on his toes, dodging the strikes as they came in.
The orc kicked at the fox and was quickly met with its sword thrust into its leg, the orc gave a blood shot roar, falling back and rolling on the ground a moment before jumping back up on its good leg. Kneeling down, keeping low to keep his balance the orc now limped at a slow pace towards Corqain. Corqian working his blades to maneuver the orc into a killing blow. However he couldn't get behind him, reaching behind his back he produced his dagger and threw it to the feet of the fox.
"Get behind him."

After he caught his breath Allen recovered fully and nodded at the man, picking up the dagger. Allen moved quickly, staying at a more or less safe distance, trying to get behind the orc. When moment was the best to strike he dashed quickly at the orc from behind and tried to stab him where his heart should be, hoping dagger was long enough. If successful, Dagger's blade would be completely in and stuck, getting it out was a bit too much for Allen's strength. After stabbing Allen would jump quickly on the Orc's back and try to grab the axe while jumping off. Maybe the orc would just let it go after the stab.

The fox came in beautifully, stabbing the orc upon its back the curved dagger went straight though and pierced his long, gasping for breath the orcs grip on his weapon loosed and the fox grabbed hold. However the orc wasn’t willing to let go out his weapon and still with one hand he held on, Corqian stopped that. Coming in with a slice he cut the wrist of the orc, his grip loosed and the fox pulled the massive double axe away. Corqian eyed the last two remaining orcs; they were both badly wounded and about to die from their wounds. He at least thought to ask some questions before they went; He moved up to their leader and spoke to him.
“Why are you here, so far to the east? Your hunting parties don’t go this far.”
The orc spat blood out of his mouth, clearing his throat as he laughed at the pathetic elf and fox, knowing all to well what was coming. He stepped up and stood before the two as the proud warrior he was.
“All your people are doomed, were going to kill everybody, we going to bury you.”
With that the last laugh the orc will to live gave out and he fell dead. As Corqian turned to face the other orc he saw him pull a dagger out of his belt and stab it into his neck. The orc bled out on the grassy meadow of the river bed.

Allen sighed very deeply and dropped the axe, it was too big and heavy to carry. He breathed deeply and tried to calm down again, letting himself fall on his side to rest on the grass. "would make a good story" he whispered quietly. He stayed there for almost half minute and got up slowly and tried to get his sword back. He then watched the man while trying to get his sword back.

Corqian sighed as he had no true answer to the conflict of the orc; he turned back to the fox, Corqian walked back to his ally the fox. Bowing down in and elfish manner, Corqian gives a thankful look to the fox.
“Thank you for your aid Fox, I just hated this battle had to spill out on you.”
Corqian turned and noticed a pair of boots and a trouser, walking up and picking them up he laughed a little, then turned back to the fox.
“Well my good fox, you seem to have a prize. For you, I hope they help…as well as you can take and collect everything from the dead orcs.”
Corqian handed him the pants and boots.

Allen watched the man bow and shook his head quickly "no need to bow and no need to worry. And Fox... Fox reminds me of my father, please call me Allen" he nodded, his sword already back. When the man was busy with the clothing he found Allen went to the river to wash his sword, then looked up at the man as he came back with the clothing "uhh... I am already very clumsy without much extra weight... I believe that would make me extra clumsy... if it was winter I would accept it though... and..." he looked at the orcs "as for the orcs... all I will need is a small weapon or a piece of a weapon... I will need it so they will believe the story. ummm..." he looked at the axe "and I will need something that can get me a couple of coins to sleep decently tonight... maybe a tavern in Cair Paravel or in a Village... it is too late to get a camp ready."

Corqian took back the pants and boots and put them in his bag.
“Very well Allen, it is a pleasure to meet you, I am Corqian Solavel, an elf from the west. I was tracking these orcs across the wild plains until I encountered them here at this river.”
Corqian’s eyes went to the axe the orc leader had wielded, it was truly a grand piece of the story, anyone who would have seen the axe would have surely believed the tale of the battle at river bed. Corqian smiled, the fox was truly a character, an adventurer. Corqian heard him say coins and he quickly moved to the bodies, reaching down and checking the pouches he produced a few coin from the body. He waked back to the fox and handed them to him as well as the axe.
“I hope this helps Allen, you do not mind if I accompany you to this Care Pare-avail?”

Allen looked at the axe again as Corqian did the same. "That axe may be perfect... but let's not forget I am not strong enough to carry that... maybe... one of the heads may work." Allen walked closer to the axe as Corqian looked for something. He looked for any weak spots near the axe's head to try to cut it off and take it.
Allen then looked back at Corqian and took the coins. "They are enough... and I don't mind in any way if you come. I just hope you are not easily bothered by a talking fox... I tend to think loudly."

“Here allow me to carry the axe on your journey back to Cair Paravel, it is the least I can do for your aid in this battle, besides the whole axe will be more worth while, it will surely get you a week of story telling and reputation in the tavern.”
Corqian put the axe on his back pack and then threw it over his shoulder. He turned back and forth, looking for a good path, but then turned back to Allen. Asking him to lead the way, knowing he knew the way better then him. The road was easy enough, staying behind Allen Corqian played his flute.
“Please tell me Allen, are you a story teller?”
