Give a couple paragraphs about distinctive features your character has. Such as: hair color, eye color, height, weight, how they carry themselves, fur/coat markings, and anything that makes your character them.
Aurora has long brown hair that falls around her shoulders when she lets it down, which is rarely ever. It's usually pulled back or in a braid to keep it out of her way. She's tall, around 5'9," and thin with a flexibility quite unexpected. She is lithe, a fast runner, and fairly good in combat. When she isn't training, teaching, or practicing her archery – Aurora dresses like the lady she's supposed to; with rich gowns and pretty jewellery, even though she hates it.
Her eyes are a dark brown, almost so dark that they look black. They're framed by dark lashes that make her eyes look bigger than they really are. She has fair skin, but it tans during the summer to a small golden sheen – not so much a dark brown, but a light bronze. Aurora can be seen without a smile on her face, it's rather common, but when she does smile it's a bright and lovely one that's full of sincerity.
Take Me As I Am
Give a couple paragraphs about your characters personality traits. Are they humble? How about down-right mean and nasty? Also, tell what your character hobbies are. Do they like to fish? Run? Maybe archery?
Determination describes Aurora perfectly. She's a determined young woman who will do anything she can to get what she wants. She isn't easily swayed in her opinions or her decisions. She's rather pigheaded at times, known to be stubborn, but she's also very intelligent and logical – so she's usually, unfortunately, right. She has a sense of humour that is rare, a dark one that can only be described as "very sarcastic." She's very competitive, especially if she knows she's good at something; like archery, but she's not arrogant in the least – in fact, she's quite modest.
When you get her with her guard down, Aurora is a very nice person to get along with. She has great stories to tell, she's rather funny, and while she might say the wrong thing at times – she can always make you feel as if you’ve known her forever.
Everyone Has A Past
Give a couple paragraphs about your characters history. What are their parents' names? Where were they born? Did they have any siblings? How about what their goals and achievements are?
She was lost. Confused. Wandering the streets at the age of fourteen, having no where to go and no one to turn to. She felt alone and she was frightened at everything she saw. She was introduced to a new part of England that she had never seen before. The streets were filthy, and there was poverty everywhere and all she could think of was how much she missed home and how much she would die to be able to return to the people she considered her parents for practically her whole life. But she knew that she couldn't. She had made the decision to run away, and run away she had. She couldn't return to them. Not after what they did. Not after their secrets were revealed. And all Aurora could think of was the sense of loss that she felt, the sense of betrayal. Everything she had been told was a lie. A lie. No truth in any of the words. How was she sure they actually loved her and cared for her? What made her trust them so much to the extent of allowing herself to be hurt?
Aurora lost track of the days she was in the streets. She lost count of the number of men she sold myself to so she had enough money for a bit of food. She lost all her senses and feelings toward the world all together. She had no reason to live. She wasn't who she grew up to believe she was. She wasn't Aurora Smitty, she was Aurora Beckinsfield - and she had been kidnapped when she was younger. Aurora had been taken away from her parents and forced to live with people who she had no relation to whatsoever, and she believed she was their daughter. She had let them deceive her. She felt as filthy as sge looked, and she didn't know who she was anymore. She was disappointed in herself and upset and angry at the fact that she didn't know. But how was she to know? Aurora was only two at the time, she didn't know anything. They took advantage of a poor defenseless toddler, and they took her out of the home she loved. They placed her in one, that she soon came to despise.
One night, Aurora was having the worst of luck. No money to be found anywhere, and it was storming out. Normally she loved the rain, but when you are out on the streets and have nothing but a small dress on - you tend to loathe it. She was about to give up and find a place to sleep when a man approached her, she wasn't in the mood that night for anything - and she tried to dodge him as best she could, but he seemed determined to talk to her. So Aurora allowed that, but only that. He offered her a place to rest and some warm food - and although her head was screaming no, her body was awfully tired and she accepted. He led her to a large house, and pointed her to a room. A spare room it seemed. Aurora fell into a deep sleep. And when she woke, she somehow awoke in a whole other world.
This world was warm and seemed to be living on the fact that people were happy. She loved it there. She felt so serene and so calm. But soon she became hungry and frightened all over again. At first she tried to think of logical answers to this. Perhaps the man had taken her somewhere in another country, but that would mean slipping something in a drink he had given her. Or perhaps she was on some form of drug. Whatever the case, this couldn't possibly be real. Not at all. But when a creature unlike any Aurora had ever seen before, approached her and spoke to her; she knew, somehow, that this was indeed real. The creature introduced itself to be Junven, the faun, and invited her to have some tea with him. Of course, the last time she had tea with a stranger she appeared somwhere else - but nonetheless she accepted the invitation.
It was in Narnia that Aurora stayed, under the roof of Junven's cave. Junven was like a father to her, teaching her everything he knew. Archery. Sword fighting. And he told such lovely stories as well. She learned to play the pan pipe and dance to dances that fauns and other Narnian creatures danced on special occasions. She learned the history of the world she had fallen in love with, and she learned to be who she have always wanted to be. When Aurora turned 17, Junven became very ill with something no one could identify. He wasn't doing too well and she found herself wanting to ask Aslan for a piece of fruit, just as Digory had done before - but knew that her hopes were too high. Junven passed away months later, and she was once again alone in Narnia.
With Aurora's newly found skills – she had no problem living alone in Narnia, and she had companionship from her horse Ruby, who was very loyal to her and stayed by her side always. But it grew lonely on nights, and she found myself missing Junven wildly. Aurora would cry herself to sleep and remember him, missing him even more than before. It wasn't until recently that she was summoned to Cair Paravel by Queen Susan, who she disliked along with her three siblings. Nonetheless, Aurora accepted the Lead Archer position and the place to stay in Cair Paravel; perhaps sealing her fate, forever.
Example Post
Give at least a couple paragraphs of a previous written work, or even a sample RP of your character.
Aurora tilted her to the right and then to the left, feeling the satisfactory crack in her neck as she pulled her bow in front of her and strung her arrow. She was practicing, as always, feeling the need for her skills to be top-notch now that she was the Lead Archer of Cair Paravel. It was still a title she needed to get used to. Then again, Aurora was never used to titles as it was. With a sigh, Aurora drew the string back and aimed at the target so many feet away from her. With a finality that showed her confidence, Aurora let the arrow go and it soared through the air toward the target and struck it. It wasn't perfect, but it was pretty good.
She strung another arrow, her mind reeling as she thought about Edmund. He was such an arrogant ass. Someone she was not used to dealing with. He thought he could do just fine with his mediocre archery skills, and she knew better. Aurora bit her lip as the arrow flew through the air and hit the target with another thunk. Then she restrung, reshot, and restrung again. If only there was a way for her to show him that he needed his archery skills to be as good as his combat skills. Then, her mind stopped, and she realised she had figured it out. Quickly, she hurried over to the target, pulled the arrows out and placed them in the quiver on her back before hurrying back into the castle – in search of Queen Susan.
