The bright sun of mid day peered down up the glimmering city of Cair Pareal, the day was warm, cool crisp coast air flowed into the coast and cooled the hot evening. Though Corqian had only hear of Cair Pareal, its splendors and wonders were that of the stories he had been told, they told of buildings built of stone, large buildings built as far as the valley could go. A truly wondrous sight to behold, Corqian wondered through the packed city streets, all the commoners who gave their eyes upon him knew he was a stranger to these lands. But how could Corqian know, he had spent his life in the forest, where mighty homes and civilizations were build upon trees. Buildings of stone were unknown to him, only the mighty dwarfs of the mountain halls were known to him to tame the hard rock. Truly a magnificent sight to behold, but Corqian couldn’t spend all his days watching the city unfold, he had pressing matters to attend to.
He continued to walk down the streets of Cair Pareal, his eyes scanning for a trade shop or a goods store, though Corqian got most of his supplies from the wild, and he still needed fishing line, some hooks, two torches, a few small rations, a whetstone, and a new water skin. He eyes his old water skin, the nice hole still displayed on the side of the skin, sliced right across it, all the water had already spilled out, Corqian had just used the moist leather to cool his face in the last track to Cair Pareal. The road had been long, but finally he had arrived, and perhaps a wizard would be hearing to help him undo this awful curse.
His green cloak laid cover over his armor and weapons as he wore it, he didn’t want to feel like a threat to these people, he was just wanting supplies and perhaps a place to say, it was at that moment his eyes caught the glimpse of a wooden sign, an owl displayed upon it with the writing, “The Owl’s Perch” Corqian though it pleasing and unsure of what it was, was a little curious. Stepping to the door and entering inside his eyes caught the site of several men drinking and eating, laughing and joking as they told their tales of braver and stupidly. Corqian only entered wondering what this place was.
